- Submit all certificates to Human Resources when you have completed required courses; bring certificates in person or send via email to HR Specialist, Jen Albini at jalbini@nusd.org

- Your Athletic Director will be notified by Human Resources when you have been cleared to coach
- Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are you allowed to begin coaching or be on campus without a clearance

LiveScan Fingerprints:
Print out these forms and take to the UPS store (936 B 7th St 415-899-1686) across from the District office.

ASCC DOJ Clearance:
After completing the LiveScan Fingerprint, create an account with the CTC and apply for a ASCC certificate. This process takes 4-6 weeks. Please follow these steps outlined by our HR Department:
After you have been fingerprinted, you will need to apply online for the Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) by going to the California Teaching Commission website at www.ctc.ca.gov > Apply for a New Document > Submit an Online Application > Submit Your Application Online > Create Educator Account. When you have created your account, you will be asked several clearance questions and asked to pay the $102.50 fee. The certificate is valid for five years and [HR] will be able to download it from here.

One-time workshop required for coaching in the Marin County Athletic League. This course if offered three times per year for free via MCAL, click here to register. If you cannot attend those dates, you may click here to register/take the course at your own expense.
First Aid/CPR Certification:
Non-expired certification required. This course if offered three times per year for free via MCAL, click here to register. If you cannot attend those dates, you may click here to register/take the course at your own expense. Concussion in Sports:

Meetings To Attend
Pre-Season All-Coaches Meeting:
All paid coaches must attend a pre-season coaches meeting with the athletic director. See top of Coaches Webpage for this year’s dates/times.
Pre-Season MCAL Meeting:
Each Varsity coach is required to attend the MCAL pre-season meeting. A fee of $50 will be assessed against a school should coaches fail to attend. The schedule of this year’s meetings can be found at here.
Post-Season Evaluation with AD:
Each paid coach will be evaluated according to a standardized rubric each season. Post-season, coaches will meet with the AD to review their proficiency towards this rubric.
Post-Season MCAL Meeting:
Each Varsity coach is required to attend the MCAL pre-season meeting. A fee of $50 will be assessed against a school should coaches fail to attend. All-league nominations and voting occur at this meeting. The schedule of this year’s meetings can be found at here.
Post-Season Evaluation with Head Coach:
Varsity coaches will meet and evaluate lower level coaches and assistants. A copy of this evaluation will be submitted to the athletic director.
Attend Post-Season Awards Night:
All paid coaches are expected to attend the post-season awards night for their sport. Coaches will prepare short remarks 2-5 minutes highlighting the high points of the season. See top of Coaches Webpage for this year’s dates/times.
