Rafael Ayala
Varsity Wrestling; Head Coach

Coach Ayala is a Novato High School and Marin School of the Arts alumni and now the Assistant Wrestling Coach and Assistant Track Coach. After graduating from Novato, Coach Ayala attended Boston University where he competed on the D-1 Track and Field Team. At BU Coach Ayala interned with the Strength and Conditioning Department serving over 100 students on 10+ teams. In addition to his degrees, Coach Ayala is an ACSM: Certified Personal Trainer: ACSM: Exercise is Medicine certified; NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
With Head Wrestling Coach Barkus, Coach Ayala is building a youth wrestling program. Feel free to contact Coach Ayala with any questions regarding Wrestling or Pole Vaulting.
Outside of coaching, Coach Ayala is a STEM and Writing Tutor at Santa Rosa Junior College. He is an active competitor in Judo and Jujitsu.
